| This year's Gathering of the Vibes was nothing short of magical. Friday afternoon, the Zens opened up the festival with Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay sitting in for a few numbers. Saturday, Jeff, Klyph, and Tom, along with Donna Jean, sat in with David Gans for a few beautiful tunes, and Saturday night, the Zens took part in the Jerry Garcia/GD Tribute, which was spectacular! The five hour jam, directed by Jeff, featured Dark Star Orchestra as the back-up band, and such luminaries as Donna Jean, Peter Rowan, David Nelson, Tom Constanten, Melvin Seals, Martin Fierro, and many more. It was an awesome night and one we'll never forget. |
